I never thought I’d actually be standing in my restaurant kitchen, looking at a totally empty bank account. Ed’s Forest Grill wasn’t just a business to me — it was my dream, my legacy, my way of feeding not just hungry bellies, but also hearts.
Every dish that came out of the kitchen had a piece of me in it. Every paycheck I signed went to folks I really cared about, who had become like family through those late nights, early mornings, and the constant buzz of orders and laughter. The sound of bacon sizzling, the smell of fresh biscuits, the warmth of coffee mugs — it all made up a life that felt way bigger than just me.
